​The A is an intimate "Creatorspace" a term I coined years ago to reflect a dream I've had for decades - to build a space like a "Makerspace" for the creative arts.

 

The A is in Ashland, Oregon, located in the heart of the Historic Railroad District. Over the past two years, The A, has hosted a curated series of contemporary art exhibitions, performances, classes and interdisciplinary events, serving as a gathering place for emerging and established artists as well as leading healing arts practitioners, all rooted in exploration and lived experience.​

 

The A, is a space that functions as a micro, foundational space for the further development of  The Human Stage, a 501C3 status Performing Arts Organization. ​

 

We support experimental work, new and classic voices, and evolving forms, while cultivating community and creative rigor.
